Kashif Hameed, MD

Dr. Kashif Hameed is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive experience in adult, child and adolescent mental health care across inpatient, emergency and structured outpatient settings. He brings a strong blend of clinical expertise and leadership to his role as Medical Director at The Recovery Village Kansas City, having served in key roles including Medical Director, Supervisory Psychiatrist and Chief Resident.

Dr. Hameed specializes in the treatment of complex psychiatric conditions, including substance use disorders and mental health diagnoses. His clinical approach integrates evidence-based practices such as medication-assisted treatment (MAT), withdrawal management and comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to support high-quality, patient-centered outcomes.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hameed has contributed to the advancement of psychiatric education as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, where he has trained and mentored medical students, residents and psychiatric nurse practitioners. He is known for fostering collaborative, multidisciplinary care environments while maintaining strong alignment with regulatory and quality standards.
